Your friendly neighbourhood stoneworker
I have over 10 years experience in hardscaping and stonework, and I'm trained in all areas of my trade.
Drystack stone, mortared stone, urbanite, bricks, blocks, veneer, pisa blocks, and cob
Paving stone, flagstone, urbanite, cobblestone and slabs
Sculpture, installations, labyrinths, community events, group projects, workshops, facilitation and more
Being outside and working with natural materials connects me to the land I live on and the communities I am a part of.
My goal is to create functional art that brings together beauty, peace and points of connection.
I am a genderqueer person who lives and works in Coast Salish and St'at'imc Territories in centres mostly between Vancouver and Lillooet. As a stoneworker, mental health worker, community organizer and artist, I strive to build and connect communities. I'm connected to the land and to my community by the work I do.
I'm involved in community organizing mostly related to issues of land defense, food sovereignty and the queer community. I try to bring an anti-colonial and anti-capitalist perspective to my work and do my best to connect environmental justice to social justice.
I appreciate emails and messages from you, whether you're ready to start a project or are just curious as to what's possible. I am able to travel for inspirational projects.
Most of my work takes place on the unceded and occupied territories of the Coast Salish and St'at'imc peoples.
